MUD: The Story of Kuala Lumpur is 75 minutes of highly entertaining, lively and interactive performances full of chromatic brilliance, bringing us through the timeline of how the city we know now began. Including audience participation in various scenes, like the Great Fire and Flood of 1881, the Kenduri Kampung, and Joget Lambak, the show is performed in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Tamil.
Enfiniti Productions created this musical theatre treat, which ran for 3 years at Panggung Bandaraya KL, and was awarded by The Malaysia Book of Records for being the longest-running show in Malaysia. Written and directed by Amsalan Doraisingam, featuring unforgettable musical compositions by the sensational Mia Palencia, witness a heartwarming story unfold of how three friends inspire the creation of “the Muddy Village” through the unity of races.
Starring Anding Indrawani as Mamat, Jayson Phuah Jia Sheng as Meng and Prem Sagar Krishnan as Muthiah, expect to see beautiful traditional costumes, intricately hand-drawn batik-inspired visuals translated through LED and other special stage effects that will transport you back in time.
